Tried that, even at night. Next morning he was up and pacing, crowing, and NOT sitting on his eggs.

Please dont pick on him for being Different, I've been telling you there is something WRONG with silkies, and this should help prove it. Differnt strokes for different folks.

Some of my best roosters secretly wanted to be hens, can you really blame them only a few get to stay around the rest become dinner.

I'd just leave him. he should be fine. Never had a broody roo, but I make all my hens do the work.
