Broody Question!?

After 2 weeks of my hen being broody and sitting on her eggs there estimated to hatch on thursday (21days).. I had a few questions I've been researching a lot, and I found some hens will kill there chicks when they hatch, I was wondering if my hen would kill hers? I know she raised broods in the past because, when I got her she had some chicks with her! Also, will the chicks hatch the 21st or when?

I would say if this hen has raised babies in the past, she is not one to kill her babies. This usually happens with first time momma's or ones that are just not good momma's. But it is always good to keep a good eye on the momma and her babies for a few days after hatch, making sure she is taking good care of them.

As for when they will hatch, this depends on a lot of things. And since you are letting nature incubate these eggs, you just have to let nature take it's course. Dont panic if they don't hatch on the 21st. Sometimes it can take a few extra days if the weather has been really cold.
