Crowing
After six year raising over 100 all different breeds of chickens, I got My first Broody!
she is a red sexlink and they are not known for going broody, I would have thought one of my Bo's, Australorps or brahmas would go broody! this girl is smart, i have 5 chickens in a small coop that i built for the bantams that are in the brooder, i put 5 hens in their to keep up the eggflow because i just put 20 pullets in my main flock and only had 6 laying hens. the plan was to keep the 5 in the coop untill the end of june (bantams will be ready for their coop by then) so now i will sell the 4 other hens and put this girl in a tiny prefab coop if any of her eggs hatch.
