I know me either LOL
If he sticks with this I can see him being a good daddy!! He is very sweet I hold him all the time pet him rub his ears!! So we will see! He is good to the girls he will find treats for them in the yard and he does his lil noise telling the girls he found something for them. They will come running! he will pick up the treat and drop it in front of which ever hen comes running first! he'll take a bite & give her another bite , then he'll lay it down in front of whoever is there next to him!

It is funny I lost my RIR roo a couple months ago. So to replace him My hubbie and I went to Croy Creek trader fair which is a pretty big flea market. There are chickens galore

I found this Roo and he has been with us for a lil over a month now! He is doing great as I posted above how sweet he is!
I am very pleased with him
I have no clue what he is !
I think he is a Brown leghorn cross what do u think?
He has 10 Girls that he maintains well!

I don't know different breeds well enough to suggest. His fabulous comb does certainly look leghornish. That's a great story about the circumstances under which you got him. Congratulations. Let us know if he stays with it tomorrow. I'm wondering if his desires to attend to his flock will overwhelm his commitment to his new eggs. Good luck!

Well here he is still LOL

Gallo I am wondering the same thing ! will he stick with it come morning? Every morning my husband gets up at 5:30am and he is outside Cock-a-doddle- doing!
BUT we will see!
I gave him the eggs from the bator that I just put in Sunday I did not want to give him the babies that are due to hatch today (tuesday)!!
