Broody rooster

My rooster has gone broody, he won't let the hens near the eggs and he lays in there all day! Has anyone ever had this problem before?

we got a bantam cochin roo that when the hen gets up to strech her leg he will jump at the chance to set on the eggs. and then he fusses we she makes him get up. it's so funny to watch.

That`s not common at all, but I`ve heard tell of such things, even to the extent that the rooster will hatch the clutch and raise the chicks. One to be prized, in my opinion. What breed is he?........Pop
