Broody Runners?

Ok so i know i just posted, but i was wonderin if runners go broody? I want some little ducklings running around next year. Also when do drake's start tryin to mate?

They usually DON'T, but that being said....

Chrissy, a fawn Indian Runner, hatched out 12 ducklings and was an excellent (though over protective) mom.

I had one too.. She hatched out some babies on Christmas day for me. Her sister went broody too- but left the nest after it was flooded in a storm. I have noticed my drakes starting to at least " practice " from around 14 weeks- but it can take them a while to learn how to get the job done properly.
