I have had hens for years, and once in a while, for some strange reason, they will decide to lay somewhere else. Just this week, I have found eggs in other places than the nestboxes. So I have taken the eggs, and replaced them with rocks, the same rocks that I have in each nest box to encourage them to lay there. But the moment I do this, the next day, there is a new nest somewhere else.
I am headed down to clean the coop/ and run, and replace the bedding in the nest boxes. If she (which one?) creates a new nest again, I think I will just leave the eggs for a few days and see.
Is this a sign?
