My partridge silkie is broody. I decided to let her have a few eggs to hatch. Started on 11/15 and 2 more eggs after that. They are another silkies eggs because the broody didn't have any.

Anyway, anything I need to know? Thinking I can let nature take its course and maybe have some babies in a few weeks.

PS: chicks will be partridge silkie roo x white silkie hen what will I get?

Thank you!

She should be good. If you have any complications with her hopping into the wrong nest or other hens bothering her, you can move her out.
I'm not much of a genetics guy, but knowing as to how the white color in silkies is usually recessive, you can end up with almost anything. It really depends on the genetic background of your roo.

Thank you for the reply. So far so good, no one bothering her and she hasn't moved nest boxes.

Silkies brood well..She'll be happy to sit, and raise some peeps. I don't know anything about the colors and such, but I'm sure they'll be darlings! Keep us posted
