My silkies just finished hatching some chicks. As they hatched i was taking the chicks out of the nest what I want to know is will they keep going broody and hatching the eggs since I was taking the chicks?

would have left them with their mama unless she started ignoring them. Sometimes after they hatch a few they ignore the rest of the eggs. They are usually better off with mama who will teach them what to eat, what to drink and how to be a chicken.

Thanks for the replies. I will just wait and see what happens when they go broody again. Only reason I was taking the chicks from the mom was because I had people wanting to buy them so I was selling them as the hatched. I am fairly new to the chicken business so I am learning as I go.
