Broody silkie... how many can she handle?

My wee little silkie has gone broody again she is such a good momma she has hatched for us before but only 3 cause i was new and did not know the capabilities of a silke

so how many standard eggs can you stick under a silkie?

I put 4 or 5 maximum BANTAM eggs under a silkie hen. She might be able to handle 3 full sized eggs. Put the eggs under her and remove any that she can't cover completely. If you put too many, they will roll out and chill & you could lose the whole batch. Karen
