Broody silkie, i think!

I think my silkie is broody, she has spent the whole day in the nest.
How long before i know for sure if she is going to stay broody? how long should i wait before i give her eggs to sit on and how many eggs could a silkie brood?

Our silkies can span about 8 silkie eggs or 4 to 5 regular sized eggs. If it's a broody one, you can proceed to put eggs under her immediately! Good luck!
