Broody Sitting on Eggs but eggs doesn't hatched

Hi there,

My girl is sitting on 10 eggs but I lost the count of days, its her first time so i am not sure even a single egg hatch, so I have a question if she leaves the nest or keep sitting on the eggs? or how long she will wait, again I am not sure but I thinks it's over 24 days now.

Candle a few, and match the pics with information you find on an incubation development calander. Look for movement.

If they didn't hatch how long she will be sitting on them?

Ok finally I think its over 28 days and she is still incubating the eggs and there are no chickens, due to this long time she was getting week so she start breaking her own eggs and I think she eat one, so I took all eggs underneath her and break few out of suspicion and there was no sign of any things they were just plain eggs. So I through them away so she should be moving around and have her food normally so that her nutritious can be back to a certain level. I dont want her to develop egg eating habit.

Sometimes you can swap her a couple of baby chicks for her bad eggs, and all is well.

No, I dont want her to baby sit for other chicks otherwise she will not start laying eggs soon
