I have heard people say that the broody will steal eggs from another nest to make her clutch... How does she transport them?

My broody silkie gathers eggs from all three of the other pullets in my microflock, spreads herself out and sits on them. All the girls go up to the roosting loft to lay, so she just has to push the eggs into a clutch and sits on them. When we check for eggs, under Tina is the first place we look.

She doesn't get "stuck" in a broody though, once we pick her up and let the air circulate around her, she joins right in the with other chooks in doing regular, non-broody chicken activites.
