? Broody time

Well I have two Orp bantam mommas sitting on the eggs for over two months and both hatches failed. (they were shipped eggs).

Also the Amercuana bantam mom is patiently waiting too. Been a month and half for her.

So what shall I do?

Most hatcheries will not take orders less than ten chicks for all three broodies.

I believe you can order 3 chicks from Meyer's and Cackle.

Be carefull when you toss those eggs. After 2 months, they explode.......Pop

I had two different batches of Blue and Black Orp bantam eggs so when none hatched the first time around, I tried again and second time no chicks because of the problem rats were getting to the clutches of eggs!

Now with the cage available, I can put the broody in them.

I am afraid they will snap out of the broody stage if i order chicks and they didnt come in at the expected time!
