I can't believe it! She's a leghorn too! She went broody in June and hatched two chicks sadly they both went missing at different times. But now she's gone broody again and I think I know why we have had some attacks recently and I heard chickens will often go broody after an attack to replace the dead chickens. Well I guess my Leghorn has just as much mother instinct as a silkie.

My leghorn has been broody at least once a year since we've had her as a chick. This year she's been broody twice and now she's been broody for the last 3 months. My cochin hatched 2 chicks and hawks or snakes got them both. She immediately went broody again.
