Newbie question...how does a broody hen hatching chicks keep the right humidity as in an incubator? Or does she?

I know with ducks they're in and out of water and the water on the hen does it...but when a broody chicken hen goes into lockdown, how does she control humidity so her chicks don't shrink wrap?

Thanks.

It has to do with the humidity in the air and ground or so Ive been told. All my hens outside that are broody hatch all their babies just fine! :) and there is no humidifier in my coop :D
