I have a SUPER BROODY Wheaten Penedesenca on my hands...or rather in the barn. If I can go in and pry her up, look under her and she doesn't freak out, but growls, bites and sticks down fast, I'd say she's all out broody.
She's been on the eggs more than a week, so she's serious. Too bad I took their roo out 3 weeks ago-ugh! They had a cockerel in with them for the last 2 weeks, but I think he was still scared to death of being eaten alive and wasn't really thinking about romance
Ah well, I'm just thrilled that she wants to sit on eggs!! Maybe it has to be a zillion degrees to trigger it. Goodness knows it's HOT outside, highs in the mid-high 90's here for the last few weeks
