Broody will only sit in nest!

Of course, a chicken type ramp!!! I guess I'm tired, because I envisioned these little chicks sliding down the ride of theirs lives!!! I have an extra ramp that's not in use because I did some re-configuring of Chickenland. I'll have it handy just in case. I know that mother hens are very protective of their babies. I just can't help but worry, but I'm sure Aqua will be a very fierce mother. I'm just happy she still likes to eat out my hand. Can you tell these are my first chickens and my first broody? I can't believe how much I love my chickens!!! Thanks for all of your helpful feedback. Backyard Chicken people are awesome!

Yeah, that type of ramp. My broodies don't let anyone bother with their chicks, and you know, I've never seen any of my other chickens even look twice at new chicks, with a mom anyway. I think it depends on the breed. Some are more "docile" than others. My last broody would eat out of my hand too, but I don't think she had any affection toward me, I think she was just starving after spending so much time on the nest! I would put a handful of feed in the corner of her nest for her.

I'm watching incubator chicks hatch right now. I'll probably be up all night with them. I wish I had a broody to raise them! I hear cheeps in stereo, I think another new one has arrived!
