So, she's acting differently than other post-hatch broody turkeys you've had? If so, then maybe there's a problem.
What you've described, in previous posts, is pretty much the normal behavior of our girls with their broods (it's all about the poults) during the first couple weeks. Trembling/vibrating of legs is certainly normal for post-broody hens. And, it takes some time to get back up to a larger food intake (after spending a month maybe taking two bites of food a day).
Good to know it's normal. This is my first time using a broody ever! Chicken or turkey! I've paid people to incubate eggs or used an incubator prior to this.
She was lookin' rough for many days but is now up and about with the chicks. She's doing a fabulous job! I lost 1 chick in the first 4 days, it kept isolating itself and looking droopy and passed in the night, away from all the others. I suppose it was not destined for this life! But she keeps the dog, the cats, the goats, and all the other chickies very far away and ferries the babes around the yard to graze. She too is grazing and drinking, at last! I held her a few times and she's thin(er) compared to what she was prior to brooding, but really I think it ended up being an effective weight loss plan
