i just wanted to share my excitement. I incubated this Sussex x Isa brown last year, today she became broody, it will be so nice to have a natural hatching rather than watching an incubator for 21 days.. She is sitting on approximately 15 eggs, some aracauna, golden laced Wyandotte, Isa Brown and white leghorn, all crossed with my blind golden laced Wyandotte rooster . If all goes well they should hatch on the 12th October.. Exciting days ahead

Good for you! Letting hens sit on eggs and then watching them care for them is great fun (and a lot less stressful on humans). I have ten under my favourite girl right now - 9 days gone already so the countdown is on!
