Broody?

SORRY!!!! TYPO!!!! Last time she laid was about 3 weeks ago...

Oh...I was really concerned for a second. 3 weeks shouldn't be that bad if she's been broody

We only have two hens but the thing is.. she is not going in the nesting bay at all in the day she just goes in the night

I am not sure the main reason i do not want her in the laying bay is because my other girl will be sleeping alone (Ninja) and after her sister (Mimi) who she was very close to has died, i do not want her alone. BTW they are all sisters (well,was)

I'm so sorry you lost one of your girls. That must be hard for both you and your flock.
If your hen is possibly sleeping in the laying area, I would recommend blocking it if you can before your chickens go in for the night.

Thank you!! I was really upset but i am starting to get a lil better with dealing with it. It is the downside of owning animals especially chickens!!! Ye whenever i see her in it i take her out, put her where she is supposed to be and block it with something so they cant go in the nesting area until i remove it.

Okay, then I wouldn't be too concerned if she hasn't gotten back to laying yet. If she doesn't start laying in a month, then I would definitely look into that.
