Broody!!!!

hi guys sorry for the stupid question but how can you tell if a hen is broody???

They won't leave the nest most of the time, puff up and hiss if you bother them, and have huge stinky poop the few times they get off the nest. I'd do a search to find more info.

how old are they usually when they first start laying and when they first go broody??
and will they still go broody without a roo??

Most breeds start at about 20 weeks

Not sure mine went broody the summer after they turned one (they turn two today!)
