I have 2 broodys raising 10 chicks (2wks old tomorrow) ,a broody with 2 chicks (hatched the 6th and the 8th) and another with 3 eggs(looks like only one of those is going to hatch)
The 2 babies and mom got out of the cage yesterday and when I found out I went looking for them and the 3 broodys and all 12 chicks where happy and forging and the 2wks old act like the babies where always there.
I have heard bad stories with older chicks attacking younger ones. Is it that their with moms, have lots of room, or are just too young to be mean?

And because you guys always need pictures here they are!
The first 10 and the hen that hatched them at about 2 days (second mom left eggs to third broody to raise to help with these guys)

I am waiting for my chicks to hatch under my silkie. First time for me I hope my other chickens will be nice. They are young so it should be ok. I cant wait to see some chicks out in the backyard. Your look absolutely beautiful. I want I want I want lol

so I would not worry about it, but I keep mine in the nest or a cage the first couple days so they know "mom".
