My mom gave this to me during the Newcastle outbreak several years ago; my uncle had given it to her and she hadn't used it, but she lived in Norco, which was close to ground zero for Newcastle if I remember correctly. Sooo, I quadruple bagged it and a friend piped ozone from his spa 'sanitizer' through the bags, then it sat, bagged, for ~6 years. I just decided to dust it off and fire it up. This thread makes it sound pretty good!

Up to 96 in the last half hour, with a small jar of water in the center. I'll get a pie tin under the hardware cloth tomorrow, and may start eggs in it that I was going to take to a friend's Sportsman. I'm thinking of leaving them in cartons and using a block to prop up one side of the whole bator to tilt it to one side & then the other; opinions???

Hmm, I have the LG turner... will give it a try, then I won't have to worry about turning them enough or spilling the water. This thing is so solid it might work out in the barn, but for now it's in the back porch.

Yay thankees Debi!
I was going to use a 2x4 or a brick.
The LG turner needs 2 corners cut off to fit in. Not sure what to cut it with and no easy way to get the cord out to power it, so out to find a short piece of 2x4 I go.

why? does this mean the eggs should be lined up a certain way? They're now (I just set some) in 18 egg cartons one on each side of the center, with a sushi tray of water under the the wire, in the center.
Thanks again

Why? I have no clue, but my turner goes from front to back.

So I figured copying a turner would be best.
