One of my black sex-links laid an almost white/cream colored egg the other day and hasn't laid since, is this normal? Her eggs are usually a nice brown. I picked her up when she was approx. 4-6 months according to the seller and she has been consistently laying every day until now.

She seems fine otherwise and is eating and drinking....

Thanks!

That happens sometimes and doesn't neccessarily mean that something's wrong. Brown egg layers actually lay white eggs and cover them with a layer of brown "paint" before they exit the oviduct (which is why when you crack open a brown egg, the inner shell is white). They often lay lighter eggs at the end of a laying cycle or she may have had a scare sometime yesterday which affected her "paint". Just keep an eye on her for the next couple days to make sure everything else is fine!
