brown leghorn bcm cross

i was wandering if anyone had evercrossed abcm roo and a bl hen. and if so what it ended up looking like and what color eggs they laid

I haven't done that particular crossing, but I've worked with FBCM crosses.

The BCM is pretty dominant black, so all chicks come out black with possibly some brown bleed through, but not much.

I've crossed white layers with dark layers, and generally you get a mid tone between the two birds unless there is brown inhibitor in the line.

So you should expect (with of course the option for genetic surprises), black chicks that lay a mid tone to light tone brown.

The body type will be lighter than the BCM but heavier than the Leghorn.
