Brown Leghorns: Pics, Info, and Resources

Pics
Well, I know there are white leghorns and brown leghorns which is what I have but I didn't know there was in difference in browns. Mine are dark but not real dark. Brown leghorns are good layers. Mine lay white eggs between medium and large. I have 3 hens and I get 2 or 3 a day. Someone must sluff off. They aren't very friendly and they are good flyers. Mine don't try to fly off but have no need to. They have a nice chicken coop and a big run and I let them out into my yard and garden twice a day, most days. One of my leghorn is a real pain. She chases after all my other birds including her sisters. Everyone is afraid of her. I think they are very aggressive by nature. They are a good hardy bird. They like cold weather and don't mind rain much either. My hen is so bad, she squaks so loud and doesn't like to share at all. She gets mad when another hen is in her egg nest. I have 3 egg boxes but she thinks she own one of them and the other 2 hens like that one too. She got into an all out fight with her sister one day for not leaving the nest when she wanted in. I would ship her off any day but will wait until my New hampshires start laying or hope that one day one of the other chickens will put her in her place. The New Hamps are bigger that her but they still run. If you're looking for good layers they are your bird. Personality is not one of their good qualities. Sorry to be so long winded.

Our 17 week old Brown Leghorn, Psycho Sabrina, in her most recent photo shoot. Anyone who knows BL understands the psycho before her name!! Definitely one of the chickens with the most character and energy in the flock!!

My chicks are two weeks old and I'm still trying to figure out what breeds I got in the Special Assorted Bargain from McMurray. I have five or six chicks that all looked identical from the start, so I'm almost positive they're the same breed. Dark brown with chipmunk stripes, the very first chicks to start feathering out, some with LONG feathers in relation to their body. Last chicks I can catch when putting them out. First (along with Barred Rocks) to try to escape the brooder. On the small/fast side as compared to other chicks. No fuzzy cheeks like my Ameracuanas. More "sleek."
Here's one around 10 days.
The guesses have been Welsummer, Easter Egger, or Brown Leghorn. Since Easter Eggers are "technically" mutts, they might look different right? These 5 or 6 are difficult to tell apart.
Also added younger pics. Do you think these are Brown Leghorns? Thanks !

My vote is brown leghorn. I got 4 of these in my bargain from McMurray last year. They do no look like EE, they don't have colored legs. The only other option would be Welsummer, which I understand they are selling now. Watch for white ear lobes as they mature

Thanks! Their personality just seems to SCREAM Leghorn, if I'm reading all the resources correctly--very fast, hard to catch, small-ish, quick to feather, first to fly, etc.. Add that to the fact that they were all identical and don't have fluffy cheeks...
I am new to owning chickens, so I'm really excited about the mix! Other people said they could be Welsummers as well, but I specifically ordered 5 breeds from a smaller hatchery (Welsummers, Lavender Orpingtons, Olive Eggers, Ameracuana, and Black Copper Marans) and I can tell the difference between those Welsummers and these chicks. I thought maybe it was just different hatcheries, but the Welsummers are lighter in color and "fluffier," if that makes any sense.

Hoping I have 50/50 boys and girls--I'm getting awfully worried that out of these 43 Straight Run chicks (27 from McMurray and 16 from Chicken Scratch Poultry) that 80% are going to be male!!!
Agh!!!

So,my Psycho Sabrina (pictured above) has finally started laying. I have one question though, is it NORMAL for her eggs to change size EVERYDAY?? One day it is standard size the next it is HUGE!!!!!!!!! This is how her eggs have progressed. I don't have yesteday's included in this shot but it was humungous!! Looking at it made me hurt! Those were my eyes when I saw it!
