Well I guess the other one did not want to be out done. Today two little white eggs were waiting for me!! That's pretty interesting that they started laying 3 days apart. Love my egg basket!! Now if only the Marans would start layin'.

If your leghorns just started laying, you might still need to wait a couple of weeks or more before your Marans begin to lay if they were all hatched around he same time. You shouldn't have any trouble distinguishing those eggs, though, from the ones your leghorns are laying when they finally do lay!

Dose anyone know where I could get some brown leghorn hatching eggs? I am looking to hatch some for the hatch-a-long (and as a science project for my 4th grade class), but I want something that will add a large sized egg to my flock of girls here at home.

If you need the actual links just ask.

Some of them however, have Heterozygous rose combs, and some homozygous... ask if that is important to you.
