Hi! Welcome to BYC! I've never had leghorns, so I don't know. Do you have them now? Are you considering what breeds to get?

Welcome to BYC. Egg production longevity with both Light Brown and Dark Brown Leghorns depends upon the strain. Breeder sourced birds tend to lay fewer eggs per year but lay over a longer span of time than hatchery sourced birds.
