I recieved 12 chicks yesterday! I drove and picked them up. So the car ride home in warm box was 1 and half hours. I did feed them yesterday with Dumor chick 24% starter, this morning I started them on Purina Start & Grow medicated which contains Amprolium! Well the past hour or so I've noticed one or maybe 2 of them has a liquid like straight water but its brown poop. All the others have good poop with white top maybe to solid on some, idk I'm new to chicken owning I justice want them to be healthy and happy am I over thinking it? Is it just from food change or stress of moving? They are Orpingtons

Hi there! Hope everything sorted itself out! Im new with having chickens as an adult but grew up with them. I've been struggling with one of my chicks having pasty butt and runny poos, it's so frustrating. I would suggest getting a bigger brooder if you haven't already and some bedding in the bottom. I'm using pine chips. Temperature is pretty important and can contribute to runny poop so i would keep an eye on it. I just changed to the same feed as you're using and is helping.

Could be stress, food change, etc. Give them lukewarm water not cold when you do a refill, or let it sit and warm to room temperature (letting water sit 24hrs will help dechlorinate tap water). Let them settle in but continue to keep a close eye on them. Would be a good idea to have some electrolytes on hand just in case. That's just what I would do, others probably have more ideas.

Edited to add: agree about temp and bedding. You'll need a bigger brooder pretty soon.
