brown/red sumatra

I think that the sumatra's with brown/red hackles and saddle feathers look great and i think we should try get it to become standard. here is a picture of my bird called bruce this would be what im promoting, but the more people that like this colour the more chance of getting as a standard colour.
.

I have a question is this a cross of an OEG brown red and a Sumatra? I have been planning to make my own bloodline and seriously considered the OEG and Sumatra cross.
If this is a OEG and Sumatra cross have you tried any other colors? If so, please send pictures. I am sincerely interested.
Thank you.

Oh man I need to jump in on genetics and breeding debates. Gots me a few degrees in it,

Started thinking about Sumatra genetics because I have about 20. 3x hens have a much less pronounced coloring but similar to the pics Andrew showed and a rooster with small patch of red saddle feathers on each side. That’s how I found this thread and ….. 3x European documents describing the original variation within Sumatras when they were first described.

The other observations, all 20 have green sheen to their tails, about 1/2 have a lot of reddish sheen across the rest of their body and other half are full green sheen.

The full green sheen are “sleek” looking while the more color, the more ruffled they seem to to look. Could totally be an optical illusion.
But, I had about 12 back in the mid 90’s and I remember them as “sleek” pitch black, vivid green sheen,….

Anyway just a comment and say good read in this thread

Planning to get another batch from
The hatchery I bought from 30 years ago to see the difference next spring
