Brown vs. White Eggs

I do not believe there is a difference. We have Leghorns and RIRs. My father, who sells the eggs at his work says that there is one woman who prefers brown eggs, and asks for them specifically. I used to separate the eggs according to colour, but since our hens are slowing down, I just mix them all in.

I also have RIR and a white leghorn. Anybody that says they can tell the difference just likes brown eggs. There is no difference in taste. It's all about what you feed them that gives the eggs the taste. The only difference is that the leghorns yokes are a lighter orange than the RIR's. That's it. I love that leghorn. She is a egg laying machine!!!!

How about the size of the Leghorn's eggs versus the RIR's? Thanks!!
