HI all, Thanks in advance for the responses.......
I have a blue cochin Roo and several blue females for him. Within some of the younger pullets(who are not with him yet) are blue cochins, that are black. Now im not real good on the genetics YET and am learning, and i know blue is not the dominant gene..So my guess it that the chicks will be a 50/50 mix of blues and blacks? Is this true with the blue roo and the blue hens, that they will be 50/50 also?
And what would you call a blue cochin that is black? is it a black cochin at that point?
Ive tried looking at a bunch of chicken calculators & charts, but they are all confusing.
Thanks !!
