One of my buffs seems to have bruised her toe either jumping from the top of their coop or chasing the new chickens we’re integrating to our OG flock.

I have her in a dog crate in the run during the day and in the coop at night with the other two OGs. I also added vitamins to her food. Anything else I should do to help her heal? Could this be something else besides a bruise? She’s eating and drinking great and laid an egg yesterday (put her in the coop early today due to a storm). Thanks!

It looks like it may have some greenish bruising and slight swelling which may become more pronounced over the next couple of day.

Is she unable to walk?
Is she getting picked on?

She’s actually walking really well for how bruised it looks which is why I was worried it could be something else. She had a slight limp when I first saw it, but barely anything now. One of our chickens will pick on her every now and then and was being rude about her eating yesterday so I have her in the crate so she won’t be chased and separated the new chickens so she won’t chase them to give her some time to heal.
