Texas followed behind her slowly. His jumped as there was a clang- one of his shoes had come off. He held up his left fore leg, the one that now had no shoe. He stared in fright at the silver horse shoe lieing on the ground "Wh- what am I going to do now?"

Frost walked up to the creek and studied the ground. She said,"Here are our hoof prints when we first arrived."

Flynn followed her gaze to the hoof prints "Yea, they are coming from that way- so I guess we just follow them?"

Frost said,"I think that will be our best bet."
 
Akima came back out and looked at the shoe curiously then back to Texas "What is that thing?"

"Shoe?" Akima looked to her own hoof, then looked back at him "We don't have those" (Yeah, the 'tame' horse and the kid :) )

Flynn sped up as they came to the edge of the trees. She saw Moon and the mares in the distance, she gave a happy whinny

"Yea, its what masters put on you. I used to get new ones every two or so moons" Texas added slightly proudly
 
Akima lowered her head to sniff at the strange item. She shook her mane and looked to Texas again "We don't have those either, the land keeps our hooves worn." She said and picked up her foot to show him.
