Scorch, the darker of the twins, eventually noticed Ace. Beside her, Inferno had also noticed the other stallion, Skyfall. Neither mare made a move; they'd never seen two stallions at once.

Scorch lifted her head, her mouth full of dry grass. Swallowing, she tossed her head, whinnying out a greeting to both Ace and Skyfall.
