I had picked out one of my Betlsville Small White toms for Thanksgiving this year. I had him in a pen by himself this weekend to keep off feed a few hours before slaughter. I went out to get him to butcher and my 4 year old boy met me at the pen. He asked what I was doing with the bird and I told him. He told me that we couldn't kill this bird because he was just way too hansome! He also said he would really freak out if I did it. I tried to talk him into it but he really didn't want to kill this bird. So we went throug the barn and he picked out an Auburn to have for Thanksgiving insted. He went back to the BSW to tell him that we were not going to kill him. It's funny, I got the whites because of their lack of color and plain look but he likes them the best?????
