My Tom Turkey is almost a year old. He has been in a pen with my hens for almost the entire year, but the past few months my girls are pulling the feathers out of his chest and cleaning his booty. How do I get them to stop? Is this bad for him?

My Tom Turkey is almost a year old. He has been in a pen with my hens for almost the entire year, but the past few months my girls are pulling the feathers out of his chest and cleaning his booty. How do I get them to stop? Is this bad for him?

That's what hens do and he makes no effort to stop them. It is worse if you are keeping them in too small of a pen.
