Bubbles in poop 🤔

Oh, you are wrong.
Millions of people take it (food grade) by the tablespoon in water to kill candida. Please read about it.
My chickens have never had worms. I watch their poop very closely...

Most people do not see worms in poop. There are about 5 worms that affect chickens, and only roundworms and the more rare tapeworm can be seen without a microscope. All worm eggs will be microscopic. DE is used to kill insects, not worms, and becomes useless when wet. Candida is a fungus, and it is treated by antifungal medicines, such as nystatin, medistatin, and fluconazole.

I put food grade diatomaceous earth in all of the layer mash combination that I feed them everyday. I've read many times that it is a great natural wormer & kills their eggs & larvae. Had my chickens for years & never had a problem!
I won't give them medicine unless their lives depend on it & I had exhausted all natural
options.:bun
I read about DE but had no time to take chances, in my opinion. I lost a hen to roundworms (her feathers covered her weight loss so well and she kept up until she basically dropped dead) and the fecal float from another showed a very large load. So I acted fast.

I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews about DE, some didn’t seem great for their digestion. I’m not judging, but it’s not my comfort zone for now. I do ACV in their water and will use St. John’s Wort and other natural options as I see fit.

Thanks for sharing though!! I always love natural options to consider! ❤️🙌🏼

I have another hen with the same symptoms now. Started watching her because it looked like she had been preening less, and sure enough, she's got watery poop with tons of bubbles. I'm so confused by the bubbles?!

I'm going to try to get a fecal float done on Monday, but is there anything I can do in the meantime? Could it be Necrotic Enteritis or coccidiosis?

The chicken who is showing symptoms today is moving slower than usual and fluffing her feathers a lot while shaking. I looked for mites or lice but see no evidence of bugs. Their poops are very watery with tons of bubbles.

I have Corid and also Tetratex which is tetracycline Hydrocholride (250 mg = 1 tsp).

Not sure if I can use the tetratex? I know I can use the Corid for coccidiosis, but am worried I should treat enteritis also?
