Still trying to solve the rescued hen issue. Both eyes are bubbling now. She occasionally violently shakes her head. She then scratches her nose so hard she bleeds. What gives?

Is there a strong ammonia odor in your coop that could irritate the eyes? Mycoplasma gallisepticum can cause foamy eyes, and if there are mucus plugs in the sinuses and airway, they will shake the heads to dislodge the plugs. MG is a chronic respiratory disease that can't be cured. Antibiotics such as Tylan50 injections, Tylan Powder, Gallimycin, or oxytetracycline in the water may relieve symptoms.
