Bubbly shipped egg

I candled my shipped eggs today. There were no visible air cells which I hope is a good thing. The only concern was the egg below. There appeared to be some bubbles possibly around the yolk that moved when I turned the egg.

Any ideas on what it is? How should I proceed? Eggs are currently stored pointy end down.

Bubbles are bad, it will not develop

If they all came together, why would only one egg have bubbles? I will probably let it sit for 48 hours and candle again. Fingers crossed.

I had a bubbly egg once, two bubbles, I incubated it upright for the first few days, the bubbles seems to disappear, reattach to the membrane I guess-

sadly the egg, as I realised, was also cracked and died on day 6 due to bacteria. But if it were just the bubbles, I think the embryo couldve made it all the way- I would simply incubate upright for 48 hours.

Not much you can do at this point but put it in the incubator and see what happens. I don't think waiting more than 24 hours would make any difference, other than aging the egg. Put it in while it's fresh. What kind of incubator do you have? Does it have an auto turner, and if yes, how does it turn the eggs? Upright by tilting them, or on their sides by rolling them? It's best to incubate shipped eggs upright, fat end up, to minimize disturbance of the fragile air cell and internal structure.

I have an NR360 which turns horizontally. I can put that one in a egg holder upright and turn manually the first few days if needed.

Yeah that might help, good idea.

As to why this one and not the others... who knows. Maybe it was handled more roughly pre-ship... maybe the hen knocked it around while/after laying... maybe it has bad genes... or bad luck... there are too many unknowns Good luck! Shipped eggs are nail-biters.

Thanks! I did add 6 local Easter Egger mixes just so my son isn’t disappointed if the shipped eggs were all ruined. I appreciate the help!
