My netherland dwarf buck keeps trying to mount my silver doe. The problem is she constantly runs from his advances. And when he does get on for a few seconds I don't even think he's getting it in because afterwards I look at the does tail and its full of what I assume is rabbit semen. None by her vagina though. Is this just a mismatched pair, could they have bread and, I being naive not recognized it? or will they eventually get it right? The buck didnt fall over on his side or grunt or anything

Yes for a fact they were sexed by a vet and by myself and I am absolutely positive its a female

I got her from a shelter their best guess was 6-8 mos

Sometimes a young doe won't 'stand up' for a buck. That is why I asked.

Exactly She kept her rear end straight down towards the floor of the cage. Is there anything I can do to help remedy this

Wait until she becomes more receptive to him? I'd cage them side by side and just give them time to get to know one another that way. Then I'd check her vulva now and again to see if it's nice and reddish-pink or even purplish...meaning, receptive. If vulva is pale white, it's not a good time and I'd not force her. Apple cider vinegar in the water can help.
