Bucket incubator

It's worth a try. That's a very creative idea.

I'd discard it unless the egg is special or expensive, in which case you can put liquid skin on it and try anyway. I've had a cracked egg hatch before; the chick ended up being a lovely Svarthona pullet.

I've tried putting super glue, Elmers glue, tape on cracked eggs because they were expensive and rare birds...but sad to say, they didn't hatch! I think it depends on how long it"s been cracked and how big the crack is, as to whether or not it will hatch.

Its just a sexlink egg, but its my sexlink so it's specusl lol. Yet she lays everyday so not like I cant try again. I have 4 eggs left for the experiment.

I did feed it to the dog had a speck of blood after 4 days. Well looked like it.

Hey,
I noticed one of the eggs has a small crack, should I discard it to prevent bacterial infection?

if anyone watches patara on youtube, she was succesful with a cracked egg she put scotch tape on. its worth a shot. im sure after a week or so you'll know if you should toss it or not. i might try this make shift incubator myself. im itching for some new babies and might try this before jumping in to a new incubator. keep us updated timothy!

here's a pic of the inside, using cardboard egg box part and rag I dampen lightly 2x a day. Using an internal cooking thermometer which may not yield best results.

My girls have a nice clutch of eggs in the coop letting them keep since the snow keeps them inside more often.
