buckets or boxes?

i jsut bought 4 hens ( one died in an attack r.i.p.) but the man that had them had buckets turned on their sides for them to lay in but i have boxes i think my new hens are confused that i dont have buckets one finally layed and egg in the corner floor part of my coop but no nest box action, should i get a bucket to make them feel better or what?

put a few fake eggs or golf balls in the boxes, they will figure it out

i have a little bit of everything... most of my "nests" right now are old barrel horse feeders,, and i have a few boxes too...
yes .. use the golf balls.. usually does wonders
