Here are a couple pics of a buckeye pullet at 22 weeks old. Definitely purebred. Very active eats and moves just like the rest, roosts up with the others. She is much smaller than the other birds her age and younger. Not on the bottom of the pecking order (she holds her own). Very friendly first to gret you and last one to walk away even with scratch on the ground., DW and kids love her. She is a keeper even if she never lays an egg. This one is a true pet chicken.
Just wondering do bantams come from full size parents or is she a dwarf as someone else pointed out. Would it be possible to breed her?
