Silver lining is that this whole fiasco spurred me to continue looking for my breeders and I have actually found a master breeder and a line of birds that I absolutely adore and should be getting a few of them in the fall. If I can figure out a way to get birds from Alabama to TN without it costing an arm and leg, I could actually get some from her line from another breeder that is working with her birds now but I'm not sure I want to drive that far we will see. Maybe I will take the trip? 6hrs round trip....

Might I ask the who the master breeder is in Alabama? I live in Alabama and have been in contact with a local breeder that I found on the Ameraucana breeders directory. I am wondering if the breeder I’ve found is the one you’re talking about. That would be great news if so.

I think you might be missing something when it comes to whether to leave a bad review. Reviews are not for the sake of the seller or the disappointed buyer.
Reviews are for potential future customers.

Think about them, the future customers, when you write it, if you're concerned about anyone going through what you went through. You don't have to convey your feelings about the seller, just the simple facts.

Normally, someone who's running a business disreputably will be relying on a scattered market rather than repeat customers. So they probably belong to a lot of different poultry groups and local livestock groups.

Totally agree. She needs to be stopped if possible. Dishonest people hurt everyone unfortunate enough to deal with them.
