What are the hatch rates of these eggs? I have shipped eggs that are about 15 or so days old and most were clear? Even the ones under the broodies were bad?

Sad but it looks like 10% or less hatch out of 70 plus eggs?

What were your results?

I got 0 from 8 buckeye, and 8 salmon fav. Bad air cell damage from shipping. Where'd you get yours?

If you are asking what rate of hatch from buckeye eggs, I got 0 of 12 that were shipped to me, the box looked like a soccer ball when it got here, also got 0-?? from all but 1 of about 8 batches of eggs that were shipped to me, of other breeds.

I have hatched quite a few of my own with good success rates.

Blame it on the post office, If you check out some of BuckeyeDaves threads, he has sent and hatched quite a few successfully.

Jeanette Beranger... supposed to be really good stock....

But it was hot that week and they were shipped??? SO it's hard to say what's up with them?

Jeannette has excellent Buckeyes, but shipping hatching eggs during the hottest part of the year is always risky.

And hatch rates from shipped eggs are also always a crapshoot. I consider it a success if I get even a 10% hatch rate from shipped eggs. The USPS is just not good to parcels...

I got a good hatch from Buckeye Dave, but it was earlier in the year. When its this hot, they can start developing in shipment, that's bound to be bad. Especially if they then sit in air conditioning to cool down again, then....... you get my point. But rough handling can overcome even the best weather and packing.
