buckeye nutts?

So after using the forum search button to find my answered and coming up with nothing... Having a ready supply of buckeye nutts I would love to know if I can crack them open and give the meat to the birds. Any input is welcome.

I believe they are poisonous to humans and animals. I believe that would include chickens.

I also have a bunch of those (buckeye "nuts")

to my east, seriously tho, buckeyes are toxic

I'd say if squirells can eat them and wild birds they would be fine for chickens. You could just feed them to you least liked chicken and see what happens.

In my reading I found that they are toxic, but if you leach them you can consume them... To much work for me, thanks.
