Thanks Angie, they really are great birds, I'd like to say I have a lot of hard work in but honestly it has been a pleasure picking only the standard birds to proliferate the breed. Knowing that they are critically endangered gives me a great feeling knowing I am keeping their blood lines alive for future generations.
I didn't know there was a buckeye chicken. They are beautiful. I will definately buy some from you in a month or two. My sister is in 2 4-H groups, I could probably get some of them interested in Buckeyes. It would also be great if we/they could show them at the county fair, to get even more people into them.

They are great birds for county/local fairs because there aren't many of them.
Let me know how I can help, I drive everywhere in SW Ohio and would love to deliver some to you/her/them.
Dave you may have addressed this but how well do these ladies lay? Can you give us some idea about the average egg production of the breed? Somehow I believe I read that they ranked right up there with the RIR but cant seem to find it now.
Thanks. Dont really have room for one more breed but you know can always build something later.
