My guinea has gone crazy with buckwheating. I bought her when she was young, and now she learned how to buckwheat. The only time she stops buckwheating is when she is cleaning her feathers. She is in front of my opened window buckwheating as I type this.

All I hear all day is:
Buckwheat Buckwheat Buckwheat Buckwheat Buckwheat! Aaa! I think I'm going insane! Lol!

Will this slow down as she gets older?

If this is the same Hen that just laid an egg for you... mine that are laying get rather talkative during laying season, but do quiet down towards Fall when the weather starts to cool (long time for you to endure the buck-wheating, might want to get some ear plugs!). She may also be longing for a mate...

We have one of those! The neighbors call her the rusty swing. However she is getting better as she is two now. Her mate was one we lost two weeks ago and another hen. She loves company so will quiet down if I go talk with her some. other wise she will find a window somewhere near where I am an go at it.
